Hello Village at Marymount Families, Friends, and Staff. This is Sue Nall the Executive Director.
Today we tested all Villa St. Joseph residents and had three new COVID-positive cases.
Our COVID update since March 2020: Villa St. Joseph has 12 Active staff and or Resident Cases. We had a total of 236 resident or staff cases. Memory Care Assisted Living at Villa St Joseph has 0 active Resident or Staff cases and a cumulative total of 19 cases. Marymount Place has 1 Active Resident or Staff cases — and a cumulative total of 41 resident/staff
We continue to be in pandemic mode by nursing standards. COVID is not over by nursing standards! Until the government changes the policies we follow through CMS, we will continue to require mask-wearing, face shields, visitor check-in, and temperature taking. Unfortunately, this is our world. We understand that it’s not everyone’s world, but we must adhere to the regulations imposed upon us. Otherwise, we face heavy government fines.
A reminder to staff: Villa St. Joseph and Marymount Place staff must wear an N95 mask and face shield throughout both facilities. All staff not up to date with a booster must test twice weekly. Staff up to date with a booster must test once a week. For Marymount Place, any staff specified with exposure must test weekly. Only those that have tested positive for COVID in the last 90 days should not be testing.
All VSJ residents will be testing weekly. Only those identified Marymount Place residents with an exposure will be tested weekly.
