Hello Village at Marymount Family, Friends, and Staff. This is Sue Nall the Executive Director.

We had a Villa St. Joseph staff member test positive for the coronavirus yesterday. The good news is that this person was vaccinated and has no symptoms. We remain in outbreak mode. Therefore, we will continue to have no visitation at either Villa St. Joseph or Marymount Place until further notice. I will continue to make update calls to let you know when visitations will resume.

Our COVID update since March 2020: Villa St. Joseph has 3 Active Staff and Resident Cases. We have a total of 107 resident and staff cases.  Memory Care Assisted Living at Villa St Joseph has no Resident or Staff cases and a cumulative total of 1 case. Marymount Place has 2 Active Resident or Staff cases — and a cumulative total of 15 resident/staff cases.

For all staff, please note that we will continue with outbreak testing. Vaccinated staff must be tested once a week while unvaccinated staff are required to test twice a week.

Here’s some good news. Our 2021 Celebration of Life Gala will be held virtually this year at 7 p.m. this coming Friday. We decided against holding an in-person gala due to the pandemic. We do not want to put anyone at risk for catching the virus.

We have plenty of fun planned for you Friday night. We will broadcast a live stream through YouTube at 7 p.m. from our Assisi Hall. We have nearly 70 auction baskets to bid on. Wait till you see what we have from Italian opera singer Andrea Bocelli! And maybe you’d like an Exuma vacation in the Bahamas … or a private dinner with Bishop Roger Gries in the Hanna Mansion?

We have a priceless package for the Browns-Denver Broncos game on Thursday October 21. Bidding is now open. Visit villageatmarymount.org to register for the auction and link to the live stream of events.

Help us to make this year’s Gala our best ever. Thank you.
