Hello Village at Marymount Families, Friends, and Staff. This is Sue Nall the Executive Director.

We had 3 new COVID cases.  The staff member hadn’t worked in almost a week.

Our COVID update since March 2020: Villa St. Joseph has 9 Active staff and or Resident Cases. We had a total of 228 resident or staff cases. Memory Care Assisted Living at Villa St Joseph has 3 active Resident or Staff cases and a cumulative total of 18 cases. Marymount Place has 0 Active Resident or Staff cases — and a cumulative total of 41 resident/staff cases.

Villa St. Joseph and Marymount Place remain in outbreak mode. Staff must continue to test. All Marymount Place and VSJ staff must be in N95 masks and face shields while in the building.

COVID continues to prevalent in the community, especially with schools in session and fall activities in full swing. We understand life goes on but please remember that we still have precautions in place per CMS and CDC regulations and we need you to wear a mask while visiting, social distance when you can and DO NOT visit if you have cold symptoms and DO NOT visit for 14 days if you have be diagnosed with COVID.

It takes all of us working together to keep your loved ones from getting COVID, having to isolate and also our caregivers from being out of work because they have contracted COVID.

We have an upcoming COVID vaccine clinic with the new variant COVID vaccine available on September 20. Any resident or staff who is 50 or above, who is compromised, had their last booster more than 2 months ago and who has not had COVID in the last 14 days is eligible for the vaccine.  We will be contacting families of eligible residents this week, or you can call me and leave me a message. Staff members can fill out the vaccine consent forms at the front desk and turn in to Peggy, Dan, Chris or myself.  All forms must be in by September 15.

Remember the 3 “W’s”- wear your mask, wash your hands and watch your distance.
