We were notified on August 2, 2021, of a positive staff COVID case. The good news is the last time the person worked they had tested and were negative. So, we are hopeful there will be no spread. The bad news is that we need to suspend visitation at this time until all staff and residents can be tested. If all goes well, then I should be calling you in the next 24 hours to give you an update.

Our COVID updatesince March 2020: Villa St. Joseph has 1 Active Staff and Resident Cases. We have a total of 94resident and staff cases. Memory Care Assisted Living at Villa St Joseph has no Resident or Staff cases and a cumulative total of 1 case. MarymountPlace has no Active Resident or Staff cases — and a cumulative total of 11resident/staff cases.

We are seeing the number of cases rising throughout the country, state, and throughout the county. If you haven’t gotten vaccinated, then please make it a priority and start the process. The only way we can beat COVID is to get to herd immunity: 70% or more of us vaccinated.

Please don’t believe the misinformation that social media has put out. Yes, there are risks to vaccination just like any medical treatment or medication.  But the vast majority do well with vaccines and other medical treatments.  Only by speaking to your physician and discussing your specific medical history can you truly make an informed choice. If you are ready to get vaccinated, then visit gettheshot.com and sign up!

Remember, wash your hands, maintain safe distance, and wear a mask as required. Thank you!
