Hello Village at Marymount Families, Friends, and Staff. This is Sue Nall the executive director.
We had another COVID positive staff case today at Villa St. Joseph. A reminder all CCU staff must continue wearing N95 masks and face shields for the next two weeks. Marymount Place staff must remain in N95 masks and face shields for another week. Skilled Care and Memory Care staff can wear surgical masks and eyewear since Cuyahoga County has attained red status for COVID.
Our COVID update since March 2020: Villa St. Joseph has 2 Active staff and or Resident Cases. We had a total of 212 resident or staff cases. Memory Care Assisted Living at Villa St Joseph has no active Resident or Staff cases and a cumulative total of 14 cases. Marymount Place has 1 Active Resident or Staff cases — and a cumulative total of 39 resident/staff cases.
We tested CCU Hall 3 residents yesterday with no new cases and will do so weekly for the next two weeks. Marymount Place residents were tested yesterday for the final week of outbreak and had no new cases. SCU and Clare Hall residents will not need to be routinely tested.
COVID cases are rising slightly at Marymount Hospital. Our infectious disease physician reported 14 patient cases, up from 5 patient cases just days earlier.
Many of you have children heading back to school or off to college this week. As students gather in classrooms and hallways, it will be easy to overlook the effective ways to defend against COVID.
Remind your children to wash and sanitize their hands regularly … and wear a mask and watch their distance when advised to do so. Let’s all have a safe and healthy start to the school year.
