Hello Village at Marymount Family, Friends, and Staff. This is Executive Director Sue Nall.
We had a good week of testing. I am happy to report we had no new cases of the virus. We hope to resume visits on SCU and RCU/Clare Hall on Friday. Memory Care and CCU our 2nd floor visits will continue.
Our COVID update since March 2020: Villa St. Joseph has (1) Active Staff Cases and no (0) Active Resident Cases. We have a total of 92 resident and staff cases. Memory Care Assisted Living at Villa St Joseph has no Resident or Staff cases and a cumulative total of 1 case. Marymount Place has no Active Resident or staff cases — and a cumulative total of 11 resident/staff cases.
In my message last week, I shared my thoughts about how social media has done a disservice by the way it portrays the vaccination process — and frightened many people. The CDC website remains a trusted source for vaccine information.
The CDC’s vaccines and immunization web content are researched, written, and approved by subject matter experts, including physicians, researchers, epidemiologists, and analysts.
Content is based on peer-reviewed science. CDC leadership makes the final decision on the words, images, and links to best serve the information needs of the public and healthcare providers.
More than 5.3 million Ohioans have started the COVID-19 vaccination process, and more than 4.7 million are fully vaccinated. On June 5, Ohio hit a benchmark we’ve long awaited: fewer than 50 cases per 100,000 residents in Ohio. While these are positive signs, the threat of COVID-19 remains.
For Ohioans waiting to get their vaccine, Gov. DeWine urges you act swiftly. There are many opportunities statewide to get a vaccine.
We are finally seeing real progress in the fight against COVID. Now is not the time to drop our guard and take off the gloves. Thank you!
