We had two members test positive for COVID on April 28. This sparked the whole campus to act quickly and test all residents and staff on April 28. During this round of testing, a resident at both Villa St. Joseph and Marymount Place, and a staff member, tested COVID positive. We were quickly able to separate these individuals and isolate as needed to help ensure no further spread. These cases put our entire campus in full outbreak testing mode. All staff now must test once a week for the next two weeks.

All staff members throughout Villa St. Joseph and Marymount Place must wear an N95 mask and a face shield when moving throughout the buildings until outbreak ends. Please continue to listen to these messages for the latest updates.

A reminder that when visiting loved ones in our buildings, it is crucial that you are truthful when answering the COVID questions asked of you when you arrive. Continue to sign in with the receptionist or supervisor. If you have had an exposure to someone who is COVID positive, or think you had such an exposure, please do not visit. Remember, we must follow CMS guidelines regarding exposures and visitation requirements.

The cases this past week signal a harsh reminder that the COVID pandemic is still present as Cuyahoga County remains at Orange level with substantial spread. Thank you. Stay safe everyone!
