Hello Village at Marymount Family, Friends, and Staff. This is Sue Nall the Executive Director.
We had 1 new COVID case at Marymount Place Monday after testing all residents and some staff. We are conducting contact tracing but don’t believe this case came from contact with another person in the building. We continue to do COVID testing on newly admitted residents per the CMS guidelines and did have a positive COVID case at Villa St Joseph as well. Today we tested a wing on our 1st floor along with staff at Villa St Joseph- there were no additional positive cases.
Our COVID update since March 2020: Villa St. Joseph has 2 Active staff and or Resident Cases. We had a total of 252 resident or staff cases. Memory Care Assisted Living at Villa St Joseph has 0 active Resident or Staff cases and a cumulative total of 20 cases. Marymount Place has 7 Active Resident or Staff cases and a cumulative total of 58 resident/staff cases.
We will test all Marymount Place residents and some staff again on Friday. Marymount Place and SCU (1st floor staff at Villa St Joseph) must continue to wear N95 masks and face shields. Marymount Place and SCU residents also need to wear a mask when out of their rooms. Villa St. Joseph staff on the 2nd floor in Memory Care will continue to wear surgical masks.
We are still asking Marymount Place and Villa St Joseph visitors not to conduct visits in the common areas at this time. Visitors should not be eating with residents. They should do their best to social distance when possible.
Please do not visit if you have cold or flu-like symptoms such as aches, fever, chills, congestion, or a cough. These symptoms can be signs of COVID, flu, or RSV. Area hospitals are seeing an uptick in flu and RSV cases as the holidays approach. We don’t want anyone to be sick or in quarantine from any of these viruses!
Remember to wash hands, wear a mask, and watch your distance in social settings. We want everyone to have a joyous holiday and celebrate responsibly.
