Hello Village at Marymount Family, Friends, and Staff. This is Sue Nall the Executive Director.
I’d like to start with a HUGE thank you to all our sponsors, donors, and staff who made our virtual Celebration of Life Gala a great success. We’ll be releasing our final totals in the next few weeks.
Our infectious disease physician thinks the coronavirus will peak in the next few weeks. Hopefully that means there is life at the end of the Delta variant tunnel.
The booster shot is available in the community, and I strongly urge you to get it where you can. For our staff scheduling the booster shot in the community: you can select the “health care worker” option on the registration form. Remember to get us a copy of your vaccination card so that we can properly document it.
We do not yet have a date for when we will offer the booster shot to residents and staff. Regarding the flu shot, we hope to provide it to all residents around October 12th. We will also offer the flu shot to staff around the same time.
Staff receiving the flu shot in the community also must bring us a copy of their paperwork so we can include in your health information record. According to the Ohio Department of Health and CDC, both the flu and COVID vaccines can be given at the same time. Additionally, the COVID vaccine can be given with other vaccines as well.
I am pleased to let everyone know that we are out of outbreak as of the end of October 3. Visitation for all residents EXCEPT those in quarantine will resume October 4. Vaccinated staff no longer need to routinely test unless you have an exposure or feel you have symptoms. Unvaccinated staff are required to test twice a week.
Thank you for your continued patience as we work diligently to keep our residents and staff as safe as possible.
