Hello Village at Marymount Families, Friends, and Staff. This is Sue Nall the Executive Director.
Yesterday afternoon we had a positive case at Villa St. Joseph.
Our COVID update since March 2020: Villa St. Joseph has 4 Active staff and or Resident Cases. We had a total of 237 resident or staff cases. Memory Care Assisted Living at Villa St Joseph has 0 active Resident or Staff cases and a cumulative total of 19 cases. Marymount Place has 0 Active Resident or Staff cases — and a cumulative total of 41 resident/staff cases.
A reminder to staff: Villa St. Joseph and Marymount Place staff must wear an N95 mask and face shield throughout both facilities. All staff not up to date with a booster must test twice weekly. Staff up to date with a booster must test once a week. For Marymount Place, any staff specified with exposure must test weekly. Only those that have tested positive for COVID in the last 90 days should not be testing.
All VSJ residents will be testing weekly. Only those identified Marymount Place residents with an exposure will be tested weekly.
The CDC recently made some dramatic revisions that will greatly impact the way we evaluate for COVID and process our information. These revisions mark the biggest changes in getting “life back to normal” as we know it prior to March 2020 when the pandemic first hit. I will cover many of these revisions in my future update calls. They do apply to both residents and staff.
Friday night’s Celebration of Life of Life Gala was another success thanks to the generosity of our donors and sponsors. Once again, the Yeti cooler returned as the spirited highlight of the Fund-A-Need portion of the evening, helping us to raise an additional $3,100!
We celebrated the 15th anniversary of Villa St. Joseph and honored our past three years of Wall of Distinction inductees. Your support of the Gala helped us to enhance our mission. God is Good, and we continue to love and care for each other!
Thank you … and stay safe everyone!
