Hello Village at Marymount Families, Friends, and Staff. This is Sue Nall the executive director.
We had 1 COVID case today on Villa St. Joseph on the second floor. As a result of this case, all CCU staff must be in N95 masks and face shields for the next two weeks. Marymount Place staff must remain in N95 masks and face shields for another week. Skilled Care and Memory Care staff can wear surgical masks and eyewear now that Cuyahoga County has attained red status for COVID.
Our COVID update since March 2020: Villa St. Joseph has 1 Active staff and or Resident Cases. We had a total of 211 resident or staff cases. Memory Care Assisted Living at Villa St Joseph has no active Resident or Staff cases and a cumulative total of 14 cases. Marymount Place has 1 Active Resident or Staff cases — and a cumulative total of 39 resident/staff cases.
We tested CCU Hall 3 residents today and will do so weekly for the next two weeks. Marymount Place residents were tested today for the final week of outbreak. SCU and Clare Hall residents will not need to be routinely tested.
Any staff member working anywhere in the facility and who is not up to date with the vaccine must test twice weekly. Nursing staff on CCU that have worked in the past week must test regardless of vaccination – if up to date once weekly and not up to date twice weekly.
SCU and MCU staff do not need to test weekly if up to date. Marymount Place remains in outbreak. All staff must test once weekly if up to date with the vaccine and twice weekly if not up to date.
A quick reminder to visitors: please be truthful when answering the COVID questions asked of you prior to seeing your loved one. It is important that we do all we can to keep COVID out of the building.
I urge you to remain vigilant against the recent COVID surge. Practice the 3 Ws – wash your hands, wear a mask, and watch your distance.
