Hello Village at Marymount Families, Friends, and Staff. This is Sue Nall the executive director.

“One day at a time” seems to be the common theme on our campus these days. Just when we were hoping to see some type of break from COVID, we had a staff member test positive for the virus this morning.

The good news is that we know the source of this case. The person was exposed to a family member at home and had been testing regularly. In fact, they tested negative yesterday at the end of their shift. This person is fully vaccinated and was wearing an N95 mask and face shield while interacting with residents.

Our COVID updatesince March 2020: Villa St. Joseph has 2 Active staff and or Resident Cases. We had a total of 202resident or staff cases. Memory Care Assisted Living at Villa St Joseph has 0 active Resident or Staff cases and a cumulative total of 14 cases. MarymountPlace has 1 Active Resident or Staff cases — and a cumulative total of 36resident/staff cases.

Today we tested Marymount Place residents and staff – and any dietary staff who was working at Marymount Place since June 30. We did not need to retest our SCU staff as they were tested on Tuesday. Like our first floor SCU staff, Marymount Place staff will continue to wear N95 masks and face shields until further notice.

We will look at the residents and staff on CCU to determine if they needed to be tested today as well.

A reminder to use our AccuShield process when signing in and taking temperatures. This process is our most efficient way to get you in the building and ready to see your loved one.

As we approach another summer weekend, please keep COVID in mind when interacting with others. Wear a mask, wash your hands, and watch your distance around others – especially in large groups. Stay safe everyone!
