Happy New Year Village at Marymount Family, Friends, and Staff. This is Sue Nall the Executive Director.
Today we had 2 additional COVID positive cases at Villa St. Joseph.
Our COVID update since March 2020: Villa St. Joseph has 26 Active Staff and Resident Cases. We have a total of 147 resident and staff cases. Memory Care Assisted Living at Villa St Joseph has 5 active Resident or Staff cases and a cumulative total of 7 cases. Marymount Place has 5 Active Resident or Staff cases — and a cumulative total of 27 resident/staff cases.
We ask that should you test positive for COVID, or be exposed to COVID and have visited your loved one in the last 14 days, that you let us know so we can carefully monitor your loved one for signs and symptoms. It may also effect where a resident is placed in our building to reduce any potential exposure to other residents.
We continue to ask Villa St. Joseph resident families to limit visitors to just two people per day. We do not want visitors coming and going given the number of recent cases we’ve experienced. Once here, please stay for the duration of the visit.
We ask that you sign up for your visit by calling 216-332-1100. We ask that the resident’s responsible party communicate our visiting procedures to family and friends. We will continue to offer compassion care visits as needed. My written updates are posted on our website under Updates & Events.
Although most people that get COVID who are boosted, and even many who had just had 2 doses of the vaccine have minor cold type symptoms, there are many isolation guidelines we have to follow along with contact tracing. We are trying to limit exposure of our residents to reduce any need for quarantine and isolation should they become positive. Please help us limit the number of visitors. And always keep your masks on even though all visitors and your loved one may be vaccinated and even boosted.
We know that the Omicron peak should be happening soon, but still have some weeks to go dealing with it. Remember to wash your hands, watch your distance, and wear a mask.
