Hello Village at Marymount Family & Friends. This is Sue Nall the Executive Director.
On May 6 we reopened visits to the Memory Care Unit. We successfully passed the 14-day quarantine requirement for MCU after a staff member tested positive two weeks ago. To schedule your visit, please call our Villa St. Joseph receptionist.
We are working to open up the facility – particularly with dining and activities – for vaccinated and unvaccinated residents. As we work to fully vaccinate residents and staff, and rollback PPE use, be advised of the following. If an unvaccinated – or not fully vaccinated – resident wants to join an activity with vaccinated residents, then everyone in the group must wear a mask.
The vaccine seems to be more readily available in the community. We are seeing in guidance and hearing from our industry leaders that restrictions for unvaccinated residents and staff will be in place. I expect this will be the same in the community. Please consider getting vaccinated so that we may all enjoy the same privileges!
As always, we will post information, such as CDC guidelines for health care workers, new guidelines for testing, and the Ohio Director’s order for residential and nursing facility testing, on our website. I encourage you to review this information and ask any questions you may have. We currently have a group of department leaders meeting on how to make changes and meet these guidelines for both vaccinated and unvaccinated residents and staff.
Our COVID update since March 2020: Villa St. Joseph has (0) Active Staff Cases and no (0) Active Resident Cases. We have a total of 89 resident and staff cases at Villa St. Joseph and (0) Active Staff case and (0) resident cases in the Memory Care Assisted Living at Villa St. Joseph and a cumulative total of one (1) case. Marymount Place has no Active Resident or staff cases — and a cumulative total of 11 resident/staff cases.
Please call me (216-332-1100) if you have questions. Thank you … and stay safe!
