We had a staff member test positive for COVID today.
Our COVID update since March 2020: Villa St. Joseph has 9 Active staff and or Resident Cases. We had a total of 233 resident or staff cases. Memory Care Assisted Living at Villa St Joseph has 0 active Resident or Staff cases and a cumulative total of 19 cases. Marymount Place has 1 Active Resident or Staff cases — and a cumulative total of 41 resident/staff
A reminder to staff: Villa St. Joseph and Marymount Place staff must wear an N95 mask and face shield throughout both facilities. All staff not up to date with a booster must test twice weekly. Staff up to date with a booster must test once a week. For Marymount Place, any staff specified with exposure must test weekly. Only those that have tested positive for COVID in the last 90 days should not be testing.
All VSJ residents will be testing weekly. Only those identified Marymount Place residents with an exposure will be tested weekly.
Staff who may have had an exposure to COVID while not wearing PPE, please contact administration for direction on how you should test and understand your PPE requirements to ensure the safety of other staff.
I know the President announced the pandemic was over on 60minutes on Sunday. He did retract this statement and we wanted to remind everyone regardless of his comments the regulations for vaccinations, quarantine, screening upon entering our building, mask wearing and testing have NOT changed and we must continue to do all these things until they do.
