Hello Village at Marymount Families, Friends, and Staff. This is Sue Nall the Executive Director.

We had a staff member test positive for COVID today.

Our COVID update since March 2020: Villa St. Joseph has 9 Active staff and or Resident Cases. We had a total of 232 resident or staff cases. Memory Care Assisted Living at Villa St Joseph has 1 active Resident or Staff cases and a cumulative total of 19 cases. Marymount Place has 0 Active Resident or Staff cases — and a cumulative total of 41 resident/staff

Villa St. Joseph remains in outbreak mode. Staff must continue to test each week and wear N95 masks and face shields. Marymount Place is no longer in outbreak mode. Staff must wear a surgical mask and face shield while in the building.

This week, Ohio has seen its lowest COVID caseload in more than two months. Several counties went from being listed as having “high” community spread of COVID seven days ago to now “medium” spread. Cuyahoga remained in the “yellow” medium zone for a third week in a row.

The Village at Marymount continues to contend with COVID nonetheless. This is why I continue my reminders about the importance of washing and sanitizing hands, wearing a mask, and watching your distance when in large group settings. These three steps are among the most effective ways to avoid COVID.

On a lighter note, Viva Las Vegas! is among our three spectacular Live Auction items as part of next Friday’s Celebration of Life Gala. Check out our Facebook page to read the details of this stunning package – and to join the fun. It’s one item you won’t to miss – so make sure you’re the top bidder! We’ll reveal the other two items early next week.

We’re expecting another warm and wonderful weekend, which means most of us will be socializing at football games, parties, and family events. Remember to be cautious and practice the 3Ws I just outlined. Let’s all stay safe and enjoy this last official weekend of summer.
