Hello Village at Marymount Families, Friends, and Staff. This is Sue Nall the executive director.

During my Tuesday call I mentioned the FDA was meeting to discuss updating COVID vaccines. The big question they dealt with Tuesday was … should vaccine manufacturers, ahead of an expected winter surge, tweak upcoming booster shots to target Omicron or should they stick with the tried-and-true 2020 recipe?

The FDA voted 19-2 in favor of Omicron boosters. The question now is which version of Omicron the next round of shots should target. I’ll keep you updated as news of booster shot formulas unfolds.

We’re asking you to please use our AccuShield process when signing in and taking temperatures. This process is our most efficient way to get you in the building and ready to see your loved one.

Enjoy the July Fourth weekend! COVID remains a threat. Please wear a mask, wash your hands, and watch your distance around others – especially in large groups. Stay safe everyone!
