Today is special day on campus. Our ministry partners, the Sisters of St. Joseph of the Third Order of St. Francis, was founded 120 years ago today on July 1, 1901. We join their celebration throughout the rest of the year.
We enjoyed another week of no positive resident or staff COVID cases during testing.
Our COVID update since March 2020: Villa St. Joseph has no Active Staff and Resident Cases. We have a total of 93 resident and staff cases. Memory Care Assisted Living at Villa St Joseph has no Resident or Staff cases and a cumulative total of 1 case. Marymount Place has no Active Resident or Staff cases — and a cumulative total of 11 resident/staff cases.
I am happy share that we will host our 12th Celebration of Life Gala – live and in person at Embassy Suites in Independence. Save the date: the gala will be from 6 to 11 p.m. on Friday, September 24, 2021.
We also will host a live broadcast of the event so you can participate from the convenience of any smart device.
As we continue to remain strongly rooted in our faith-based mission, this year’s gala theme is “Go to Joseph”, in honor of the Year of St. Joseph – and the 120th anniversary of our founding Sisters. I would like to wish all the best to Gabe Germana, who has served as my Administrator-in-Training the first part of this year. Yesterday was Gabe’s last day with us and he will be missed. But we’re all certain he will make a terrific administrator as he continues his career.
