We had a good week of testing last week. I’m happy to say we had no new resident or staff cases. Today we tested staff and are awaiting results. Keep your fingers crossed that we’ll have the same good results once again.
Our COVID update since March 2020: Villa St. Joseph has (1) Active Staff Cases and no (0) Active Resident Cases. We have a total of 90 resident and staff cases at Villa St. Joseph and (0) Active Staff case and (0) resident cases in the Memory Care Assisted Living at Villa St. Joseph and a cumulative total of one (1) case. Marymount Place has no Active Resident or staff cases — and a cumulative total of 11 resident/staff cases.
By now you’ve probably heard about Gov. DeWine’s series of statewide drawings to provide incentives to Ohioans to get vaccinated.
Ohioans under age 18 who are eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine are entered into a drawing for a four-year full scholarship to any of Ohio’s state colleges and universities. This includes full tuition, room, and board.
Ohioans aged 18 and older are entered into a weekly drawing with a prize of up to $1 million. Five weekly drawings for each prize will take place, with the first winners announced May 26. Winners must have had at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine by the date of the respective drawing.
If you haven’t been vaccinated, then please do so. It’s the only way we can truly defeat COVID and curb the pandemic.
It was good to see so many of you back in the building this past weekend. We had a full schedule of resident visits, which truly benefits everyone. Again, I ask for your patience, and be courteous with staff. They are doing all they can to get your loved one ready for your visit.
