Hello Village at Marymount Family & Friends. This is Sue Nall the Executive Director.

On Monday, a staff member tested positive for the coronavirus. This person was not in a resident care area. Currently we do not need to close visitations.

We tested all staff and the remaining residents today as we continue our vigilance to keep residents and staff safe.

Our COVID updatesince March 2020: Villa St. Joseph has (1) Active Staff Cases and no (0) Active Resident Cases. We have a total of 90resident and staff cases at Villa St. Joseph and (0) Active Staff case and (0) resident cases in the Memory Care Assisted Living at Villa St. Joseph and a cumulative total of one (1) case. MarymountPlace has no Active Resident or staff cases — and a cumulative total of 11resident/staff cases.

Ohio continues to vaccinate as many people as possible. I urge you to register for the vaccine as soon as it is available to you and your family. The vaccine is becoming more readily available in the community, making it easier for you to schedule and receive it.

We enjoy having our families and friends back in the building visiting residents. Please remember to schedule your visit with our Villa St. Joseph receptionist.

I also ask that you please be patient and courteous with staff. They are doing all they can to get your loved one ready for your visit.

This week we are celebrating Nursing Home Week. We have fun activities planned for residents and staff. We will join Marymount Place residents and staff on Friday to bid a heartfelt farewell to Peggy Mathews. Peggy is retiring as the only administrator we’ve ever had at Marymount Place. She helped to open the facility in October 1988.

Please call me with questions. Thank you … and stay safe!
