COVID Update

Hello Village at Marymount Family, Friends & Staff. This is Sue Nall, the Executive Director.

We had several positive results for the virus during this week’s resident testing. The residents effected have all been in our short-term areas.  As a result, we cannot be permitting any visits for at least the next two weeks.

I understand that any cases cause concern, but we are doing all we can to sanitize, wear proper PPE, encourage our residents to wear masks and social distance for those out of quarantine.  With Easter a week away, we aren’t able to allow any visitation on our first floor (SCU) or our RCU/Clare Hall areas. We must remain vigilant in our efforts to keep our residents and staff – and our families – as safe as possible.

For our COVID updatesince last March: Villa St. Joseph has one (1) Active Staff Cases and seven (7) Active Resident Cases. We have a total of 87resident and staff cumulative cases at Villa St. Joseph. MarymountPlace has no Active Resident & Staff Case — and a cumulative total of 11resident or staff cases.

We will continue to test residents on a regular basis – and if they exhibit any symptoms. Staff will continue twice a week testing on Mondays and Thursday.

I CAN NOT emphasize enough how important it is to get vaccinate. Ages 16 and older are now eligible. Please visit the Ohio Department of Health COVID pages and make an appointment for yourself and family members if you haven’t already.  Let’s all work together to protect our elderly and each other! We know that our elderly are the MOST vulnerable!

Last, be careful if you are gathering for Easter.  Use outdoor spaces if you can. Follow the CDC guidelines for gathering of vaccinated or unvaccinated people. We DO NOT want to continue to spread COVID.  And continue to practice the three W’s- wear a mask, wash your hands, and watch your practice distance.

Please call me if you have any questions. Thank you and enjoy the weekend!
