Hello Village at Marymount Family, Friends, and Staff. This is Sue Nall the Executive Director.
We had 1 new COVID case at Villa St. Joseph this morning. The person is a PRN staff member who has not worked since this weekend.
Our COVID update since March 2020: Villa St. Joseph has 3 Active resident and staff Cases. We had a total of 253 resident or staff cases. Memory Care Assisted Living at Villa St Joseph has 0 active Resident and Staff cases and a cumulative total of 20 cases. Marymount Place has 4 Active Resident or Staff cases and a cumulative total of 58 resident/staff cases.
We completed contact tracing. For staff, this means if you worked with the identified COVID cases you will be contacted and must test for COVID. Because we have had staff positive cases from that initial course of testing, we moved to testing all staff identified as needing to test every 3 to 7 days until 14 days have passed without any new cases.
We will test Marymount Place residents and staff on Friday. Marymount Place & Villa St Joseph 1st floor identified residents and staff will test every 3 to 7 days until 14 days have passed with no positive cases.
Marymount Place and the first floor SCU staff must continue to wear N95 masks and face shields. All VSJ staff outside of SCU must be in eyewear and a surgical mask. The eyewear requirement is due to Cuyahoga County’s current Red status for the spread of COVID.
Marymount Place and SCU residents also need to wear a mask when out of their rooms. Marymount Place and Villa St Joseph visitors: Please do not visit in the common areas at this time. Visitors should not be eating with residents. Social distance when possible.
Please do not visit if you have cold- or flu-like symptoms. We don’t want anyone to be sick or in quarantine from any of these viruses!
We want everyone to enjoy the holidays and celebrate responsibly. Have a good evening.
