Hello Village at Marymount Family, Friends, and Staff. This is Sue Nall the Executive Director.
December 13 testing produced another positive case at Marymount Place. This person was vaccinated and is being isolated in place. We are continually monitoring this person and conducting contact tracing.
December 14 testing produced two more cases for Villa St. Joseph. All individuals work in non-clinical areas.
Our COVID update since March 2020: Villa St. Joseph has 3 Active Staff and Resident Cases. We have a total of 115 resident and staff cases. Memory Care Assisted Living at Villa St Joseph has 0 Resident or Staff cases and a cumulative total of 2 cases. Marymount Place has 4 Active Resident or Staff cases — and a cumulative total of 19 resident/staff cases.
Given the cases we’ve had this week, we will not be having combined Mass or activities for Marymount Place and Villa St. Joseph. We will alternate days when these two groups can attend Mass and activities separately. Just a reminder that visitors and families CANNOT be attending activities with residents at this time.
We remain in outbreak mode. Marymount Place and dietary staff who are vaccinated must test once per week. All campus unvaccinated staff must test twice weekly. Remember, you’re not fully vaccinated until two weeks after your second dose.
A reminder to staff: now more than ever it is important to keep disinfecting handrails, doorknobs, tables, and chairs. We must remain vigilant in the fight against COVID, especially with the holidays upon us.
On a lighter note … our Human Resources Department is keeping staff engaged with fun events during the 12 Days of Christmas.
We recently presented certificates to some of our Franciscan Spirit Award winners – Autumn Miserendino, Lisa Stuver, and Tina Harrison were recipients.
