Hello Village at Marymount Family, Friends, and Staff. This is Sue Nall the Executive Director.

We had 2 additional COVID cases on campus this morning.  1 was a person at Villa St Joseph tested because they knew they had had exposure to a family member who was COVID positive and was testing per our protocols.  The other staff member started to not feel well late yesterday and hadn’t worked since Friday and tested positive this morning.   As I shared yesterday we needed to test all Marymount Place residents due to that case.  The good news none were positive.  Some additional staff also tested and were negative as well.  No Villa St Joseph residents need to be tested at this time.

Our COVID update since March 2020: Villa St. Joseph has 3 Active staff and or Resident Cases. We had a total of 251 resident or staff cases. Memory Care Assisted Living at Villa St Joseph has 0 active Resident or Staff cases and a cumulative total of 20 cases. Marymount Place has 2 Active Resident or Staff cases and a cumulative total of 53 resident/staff cases.

A reminder that SCU residents must wear a mask if they are outside of their room. If residents cannot tolerate wearing a mask, then they must remain in their rooms. Staff at Villa St Joseph are in surgical masks at this time.  We also encourage Marymount Place residents to wear a mask when out of their rooms. Marymount Place staff are in N95s and face shields at this time.  We remind visitors for both Marymount Place and Villa St Joseph that they are not to be visiting in common areas and should not be eating with residents and they should do their best to social distance when possible. We are trying our best to keep residents and staff from getting COVID over the Holidays and having to quarantine another Christmas or New Years!

And my typical reminder to not visit if you have cold or flu like symptoms- achiness, fever, chills, congestion, cough- these can be signs of COVID, flu or even RSV and we don’t want anyone to be sick or in quarantine from any of these viruses!

Thank you … and have a great rest of your weekend!
