Good Evening Village at Marymount Family, Friends, and Staff. This is Sue Nall the Executive Director.

Today we had 2 additional COVID positive cases at Villa St. Joseph

Our COVID update since March 2020: Villa St. Joseph has 26 Active Staff and Resident Cases. We have a total of 149 resident and staff cases. Memory Care Assisted Living at Villa St Joseph has 5 active Resident or Staff cases and a cumulative total of 7 cases. Marymount Place has 5 Active Resident or Staff cases — and a cumulative total of 27 resident/staff cases.

Ohio continues to see high daily COVID case numbers and with many testing at home there is a good chance those numbers are lower than the true case count. Hospitalizations continue to stress our hospital systems as they also have many staff like we do with COVID.

We ask that should you test positive for COVID or be exposed to COVID and have visited your loved one in the last 14 days that you let us know so we can carefully monitor your loved one for signs and symptoms. It may also affect where a resident is placed in our building to reduce any potential exposure to other residents or even our staff.

We continue to ask Villa St. Joseph resident families to limit visitors to just two people per day. We do not want visitors coming and going given the number of recent cases we’ve experienced. Once here, please stay for the duration of the visit. And always keep your mask on even if you and your loved one are double vaccinated and boosted.

We ask that you sign up for your visit by calling 216-332-1100. We ask that the resident’s responsible party communicate our visiting procedures to family and friends. We will continue to offer compassion care visits as needed. My written updates are posted on our website under Updates & Events.

We will be testing all residents and staff tomorrow. Please say an extra prayer that we start to see a downturn in cases.

Omicron is expected to peak by mid-January, so we still have a few weeks to go dealing with it. Remember to wash your hands, watch your distance and wear a mask.  Have a good evening.
